Description
We started this lovely walk in the main square of the village of Bachevo. From here, you walk slowly uphill past the football pitch.
At the end of the street, turn right and follow a dirt track past a small farm. Be sure to take a moment here to enjoy the beautiful view over the village and the surrounding mountains.
You’ll soon be walking into the woods, through which most of the route passes.
At the first junction, turn left and then follow the signs (eventually turning right) towards the viewpoint.
The path climbs gradually and is easy to walk on, although you’ll be walking along a narrow forest track with some larger stones here and there.
Through the trees, you’ll regularly be rewarded with lovely views of the valley along the way.
After a while, you’ll reach the viewpoint. Here you’ll find a small church and a stone platform with a large cross. From this spot, you’ll have a magnificent view of the entire Razlog Valley and the Pirin Mountains. It’s an ideal place to take a break and enjoy the scenery.
The descent begins from the viewpoint. Follow the signs to the left and head down a steeper path through the woods.
Once you reach the bottom, you’ll come to a small hut with a tap, where you can take a short break and have a drink. The peace and quiet of nature make this spot particularly special.
You then walk through a semi-open meadow. At the next junction, turn left towards the Rajdavets thermal bath, which is clearly signposted.
This natural thermal bath lies in the heart of the forest, a surprising spot to relax for a while. Enjoy the surroundings and take the time to soak up the warm water and the natural surroundings before continuing your walk.
The final section of the route is almost flat and offers a pleasant walk in the shade of the forest. Along the way, you’ll pass two small lakes before walking back into the village.
Passing through the cemetery and along the main road, you’ll return to the central square in Bachevo.
And there, of course, a well-deserved drink awaits you on the terrace!
